About the Program
Katalyst provides a comprehensive and academically challenging science experience by immersing students in multiple scientific disciplines, including chemistry, physics, biology, and earth and space science. This broad, integrated approach builds a strong conceptual foundation and helps students understand how different branches of science connect and work together.
The program runs in two five-week cycles each term. The first cycle emphasises career exploration alongside explicit teaching of the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Earth and Space Science curriculum, ensuring students master all essential content. In the second cycle, students undertake hands-on, project-based inquiry, applying their knowledge to solve real-world problems in collaborative project teams. Katalyst fosters curiosity, cultivates critical thinking skills, and empowers students with the motivation to thrive in dynamic futures.
