Personal Items & Booklists

Kent Street works with our staff and School Board in deciding necessary item purchases to help parents and carers provide everything their child needs to thrive in the classroom.

Personal Items & Booklists

The Personal item & booklists outline items requested by teachers for their students. These lists include everything from basic stationary to high level textbooks. Families can choose to order items through Campion, source them from other places or a combination of both.

BYOD – Bring Your Own Device

Kent Street is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school with excellent Wi-Fi connectivity. The key requirements of the BYOD program are outlined below.

Requirements:

Screen size: Must be a minimum of 9.7” / 24.6cm
Recommended operating systems: Windows 10 or 11 (not Windows S or RT)
Required software: Microsoft—Word, Excel, Powerpoint & OneNote (available free to all students once they commence at Kent Street)

We recommend:

A tough case to protect their child’s device from damage.
Theft and accidental damage insurance. Parents may be able to add their child’s BYOD device as a portable item to their home contents insurance.
An external hard drive to assist your child in backing up their schoolwork (devices with USB ports)
