About the program
Established in 1991, our Approved Specialist Fashion and Design Program provides students with a strong foundation in creative problem solving and technical skills. Students engage in industry‑relevant learning experiences developing highly transferable skills including design thinking, technical production, project management and creative communication.
Excursions
As part of the Fashion and Design program, students participate in a range of extra curricular activities such as excursions or camps which provide valuable opportunities to engage in immersive design projects and extended hands‑on workshops. Activities may include fabric production, beading techniques and explorations of sustainable fashion practices. These extended learning experiences enable students to work through more complex design and construction processes in a focused environment.
Industry Partners
We have close ties with West Australian bridal producers Essence of Australia. This partnership affords our students detailed insight into real-world textile production and business management with opportunities for work placements and experience for senior students.
