Parents & Citizens (P&C)
The P&C plays a vital role by providing families with opportunities to connect, contribute, and “give back” to our diverse school—whether through volunteering at events, participating in social gatherings, or collaborating in meetings that strengthen support for our students.
We are fortunate that our P&C is mostly funded by parent contributions. Our members can focus on initiatives that work to directly benefit our students and provide feedback to the executive team. Previous initiatives include:
- Providing the Student Media team with equipment
- Financing portable soccer goals
- Subsidising camps
- Library upgrades
- Soccer & volleyball uniforms
- Sports equipment for students services
- Positive Behaviour School reward events & branding
The P&C meet once a term – Tuesdays of week 6. All are welcome to join.
Term 2: Tuesday 26th May, 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Term 3: Tuesday 25th August, 5:30pm – 6:30pm
Term 4: Tuesday 17th November, 5:30pm – 6:30pm

Canteen
The P&C are responsible for the management of the school canteen, in consultation with the school. A dedicated sub-committee works with the staff on a day to day basis to ensure we are providing healthy options for our students.
The P&C are members of the Western Australian Canteen Association (WASCA) and are guided by the School Endorsed Healthy Food and Drink Policy (HFD). All staff have current Food Safe training, have completed the Traffic Light Training, and have current Working with Children cards.
Order can be placed online via flexischools, and if parents sign up they can connect their child’s smartrider card and top that up with funds for use at the canteen.
Kentian Society
As one of WA’s first high schools, there is a vast community of Kent Street Alumni – Kentians. The Kentian Society sustain a proud legacy, offering connection across generations and work to safeguard the long history of our school. They work in tandem with the Kentian Scholarship Foundation to provide scholarship opportunities to the current cohort – encouraging the next generation of Kentians.
The school houses a small museum of Kent Street history and relies on the support of members, volunteers, and donors to carry out its work of collecting, preserving, interpreting and sharing the history of Kent Street Senior High School.
