Course offerings at Kent Street Senior High School cater to the unique backgrounds, interests, aptitudes and needs of all students. Whether they aspire to attain entrance to University, gain a trade or course certificate, or are preparing to enter the workforce. We as a school aim to empower students to achieve though innovative teaching and mutual respect, encouraging students to achieve their full potential and follow pathways that prepare them for further education and the world beyond school.
The school has a Local Intake Area (LIA) which means students living within this boundary area are able to attend and families can collect an enrolment pack from Administration. Students who are in our Local Intake Area are also welcome to test for our Specialist Programs.
To enrol as general/local student:
Collect an enrolment pack directly from the school
Download and fill out the applicable Expression of Interest form and submit online or in person. Once an expression of interest is received students will receive an invitation to attend the aptitude testing. Only successful applications will then receive an enrolment pack (Unless they are also in the Local Intake Area). Please note, testing days for these programs can start as early as April and expressions of interest must be submitted a minimum of 3 days prior for students to be able to attend.
Scholarships
The Kentian Scholarship Foundation (KSF) developed as an initiative of the Kentian Society, an association of former students and staff of KSSHS. Former students and staff wanted to help future students through awards to help them in their studies and to recognise high achievers.
All awards and prizes are paid into the student’s school account. Decisions on recipients are made either by the relevant teaching area at the school or by representatives of the Kentian Scholarship Foundation.

School tours are run once a term in weeks 4 or 5. Tour dates will be advertised via the events page and the Kent Street Facebook page. A link will be made available for families closer to the date of the tour.
Yes, if they are offered a place in a specialist program you can apply to Rotary Residential College which is on the same site as the school.
