Library

Our mission is to create a library which provides a nurturing environment in which students can successfully find information and ideas for their educational, informational, and recreational needs. The library seeks to promote reading and research skills enabling students to interpret meaning from various sources as they become lifelong independent readers and learners.

We provide:

  • Computer/Internet access
  • Online databases
  • BYOD assistance
  • Private study
  • After school study

After school study is offered to all Kent Street students from 3.00pm - 4.00pm on Mondays and Thursday.

Research and assignment assistance available from teachers and a light afternoon tea is provided.

Students do you need help logging on to school wifi from your Kent Street approved BYOD device? Help is available in the library between 8.15am - 8.40am daily. Please come to the desk and let us know you need help.

Student Smartrider cards.

Students may order a new or replacement card ($5.00) before school, recess or lunch time.

Parents may load the card with money for the canteen using the Flexischools website. See www.flexischools.com.au

Book Borrowing

Students may borrow up to six of the following items for two weeks:

  • Ficton
  • Non-Ficton
  • Magazines
  • Graphic Novels
  • Comics

Borrowing is not permissable if previously loaned books are overdue.
